The listed impact categories have been released as stand-alone repositories on the FLCAC. These repositories include elementary flows used in each of the respective LCIA/inventory methods, in contrast to the “without flows” methods previously available on the Commons. These LCIA methods were developed using the LCIAformatter tool developed by U.S. EPA and publicly available on GitHub.
Use of the new, stand-alone repositories may be a good option for users starting a new project or developing LCI data from scratch who desire a list of reliably characterized elementary flows with which to model.
Use of the “without flows” methods is a good option for users who already have a project database containing all or a subset of FEDEFL flows, who don’t want to include a long list of superfluous elementary flows in their database.
