Members of the Federal LCA Commons are hosting a workshop and two special sessions during the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA) conference, September 23-26.

Federal Life Cycle Inventory Data Gap and Data Quality Assessments. In this session we will present on coordinated federal life cycle inventory (LCI) data gap and data quality assessments. These data gap and quality assessments help prioritize LCI data development to support government procurement of lower embodied carbon construction materials and broader LCA community data needs.

Acceleration of Public Secondary Data through Federal LCA Commons Data Curation. In this session we will provide an update on new efforts to centralize data curation for FLCAC to accelerate the availability and quality of free and public secondary life cycle data relevant to North America.
Attendees are also encouraged to attend the pre-conference workshop on Using Federal LCA Commons Resources to Submit Data to the USLCI. This course will walk through the FLCAC publication workflow from a local file to a published dataset on lcacommons.gov using openLCA. At the end of this course, participants will have a clear understanding of steps to prepare and publish LCI data on the FLCAC, resources available on the FLCAC and how to use them, and basic openLCA skills.
